The main leader of the Imperium's assault on the Imperial Manufactorum is Inquisitor Plagio. He is a member of the Ordo Malleus, Vice Questora of Vanlieden system, and Arch Lector of Bodenheim. Not a strong psyker himself, he learns of dealings within the Empyrean by way of his many daemonhosts, sages, and the daemonblade Ba'aabveela. A Thorian and Istvaanian, he believes that the best of the human race emerges during times of great strife. Istvaanians point to the greatest leaps forward throughout history following times of great conflict. Plagio makes no apologies for fanning the flames of aggression against the Imperium's enemies throughout his sector, and the current campaign is no exception.

Hereticus Inquisitor Melluvia Brank, the Thin White Duchess, Theia Reluctia, Imperator Evermourn
- A young Inquisitor yet to make much of a mark, Brank prefers to stay out of the thick of the fighting. She is a Recongregator, constantly looking to bring down those who would keep society stagnant. This radical view keeps her much in line with Plagio, but hers is a much more political version of trial by fire. Recongregators topple planetary governorships and other unwieldy bureaucracies with the idea that many of them are inherently corrupt, so constant change in leadership is actually ideal.
Rogue Trader Yossarius (Ordo Xenos/Hereticus?) High Auditor Probant of Outremer
- One of the most enigmatic of characters on planet right now, he seems to have no history or reason to be here. On official rolls he is not much more than a tax collector to distant star systems. But some of those with the highest level clearance know that he has been seen on battlefields and freighter ships, sometimes in distant parts of the galaxy at the same time. Strangest is that when pressed, he seems genuinely unaware of these rumors.
The Red Hunters Chapter works very closely with the Inquisition. Because of their constant fight against the insidious powers of the Warp, they are routinely mind-scoured and indoctrinated with mnemonic redaction protocols. This allows the rank and file of the chapter to be controlled by officers and Inquisitors through a series of predetermined trigger words. It also means they rarely remember many of the battles they have fought in, even those for which accolades have been heaped upon them or etched into their armour. Because of this, I have named many of the characters after nervous diseases or ancient Terran philosophers and researchers of the mind. Such as:
- Captain Molaison in Gravis Armour
Hellblaster sgt Ondine
- Lts Vagus & Trigeminus
That's all I will share for now. I have named many more minor characters and henchmen, but they're not important enough to use up webspace right now. I even have at least one more Inquisitor, but she doesn't fit in very well with current Index rules, so Lubyanka will not appear in this campaign. Expect some of those characters to be described in future posts.
Great stuff. Where is Sgt Delusion?
